My Cute Succubus is a short Match-3 game developed by CUTE ANIME GIRLS and published by Tranquility games.
My Cute Succubus is a short story that starts out with a man in the middle of making love with his girlfriend when suddenly they both find themselves in a strange environment and are being greeted by a succubus.
After little explanation, we know that we are in some sort of a Hell room. There we are left on our own with the succubus and ordered to work for her to save our soul from being lost. However, before we start the work, we have to prove ourselves being worthy of the task given to us by the succubus.
The Match-3 works very similar to Candy Crush and other well-known Match games, with a few different booster items. The aim is to gather all of the requested colors plus items if there are any and of course a minimum amount of pleasure, a circular gauge that feels as you destroy stones and complete combos.
All the combos are polished with nice effects and sounds making the puzzle mechanic quite fun.
Our objective is to seduce a nun, to the extent of her denouncing God. With this, we complete various puzzle levels to earn her trust and let her feel at ease.
As you progress towards the main goal, the succubus will provide rewards to further encourage your efforts. Of course, she rewards us in her own unique way, with a female reincarnation of infamous awful dictators of the past... the obvious residents that you would expect to find at the 8th circle of hell. I did however have mixed feelings about making light of people who were so heinous, especially since they are now females and the focus of perversion.
Once we reach our objective, miss Succubus rewards us with her own body, but for the whole duration of the game, we do not engage in any sexual engagement.
The developer offers a free 18+ DLC that extends the playtime of the game by adding in a new game mode called "Quick Girl" after the completion of the story. In this mode, there is an increased rate at how quickly the girls lose their clothing as well as a number of new grids.
The DLC also includes 20 new levels, 3 new characters, new endings, and opens up the 18+ content by removing the clothes on the character sprites.
They did a good job building out the gallery as well where you can see all of the different stats and expressions of each CG (with and without clothes).
Visuals, sounds, and Achievements:
The game has some nice-looking and detailed CG's and also pretty girls, though I miss the finishing touch to the girls to accentuate their beauty with sharper details.
The story is accompanied by relaxing music that is basic and simply serves its purpose.
We have also 18 Achievements featured in Steam, and they all work! That's right, we have to include this statement as we are seeing more and more developers of 18+ budget games publish their games in the Steam store knowing that some achievements are broken. Thankfully, that is not the case with this one. Achievement hunters rejoice! \o/
Overall Thoughts:
My cute succubus is sure a cute game that provides some good puzzles, beautiful CG's, a decent art gallery, and also a quick game mod for those who like to do Mach3 puzzle games for hours.
The special effect and the grids are pleasing. The additional side moves we can earn have their own effects and with a beautiful girl on the right side of the grids losing her clothes while we advance in the puzzle-challenge is a neat feature.
Overall, I enjoyed the game quite a bit, even with the implemented female dictators thrown in. The idea is comical, but doubts still linger if this is a good fit for this type of game or not.
